We are holding our first-ever Alumni Weekend July 14 ~ 16. The Marty Violante Memorial Golf Classic is already scheduled for Monday, the 16th, so we want to build on that to make it a memorable, fun weekend; especially for those who travel in from out of town and want to visit with old friends.
Our next planning session is Tuesday, February 28th at 630 P.M. at Niagara Catholic. ALL alumni of St. Mary's, Duffy, Madonna, and Niagara Catholic are welcome to attend. Please call Maureen Olson, Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations, at 716.283.8771, ext. 238, to RSVP.
Our preliminary plans for the weekend include a 5k run/walk on Saturday morning followed by food and drinks under a tent, the annual Alumni Awards Dinner on Saturday evening at the Como Restaurant, a Mass on Sunday morning followed by a brunch at Antonio's, and, of course, the Golf Classic on Monday at Niagara Frontier Country Club. People can choose which event(s) they want to participate in, and if any classes want to use that weekend for a reunion they can do that, too.
FYI ~ The Alumni Awards Dinner has been held at the end of April for several years immediately preceeding the Duffy Dance at Niagara Catholic, and lasts about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. We are planning to have a DJ after the awards and turn the evening into an opportunity to stay and visit with friends, relax, and have some fun!
