The Groundbreaking Ceremony for "The Niagara" made a big splash on Thursday. News stations such as WGRZ, WKBW, and Time Warner were on hand for opening remarks. We had several short speeches that introduced the complex, and had everyone excited for the new build. The ground break was highlighted by Gary Hall, who has been led the charge of this multi-use facility. "As a boy growing up in Niagara Falls, like a lot of other kids, I looked for a place to play, but gyms and schools were much more accessible then," Hall said. "Bringing in the Boys and Girls Club and connecting them with the high school and NU, we can really make a difference."

The center is on schedule to be finished in 8-10 months.
